Fricktion is the photographic work of Michael Frick, Creative Director and Photographer based in Munich.

My practice is rooted in observation: people, spaces, and the quiet tension between them. I approach photography as an act of reduction—distilling presence, atmosphere, and intention into images that feel considered rather than constructed.

My work focuses on:

Strong images do not exist in isolation—they function as part of a larger narrative and identity. Through my work as Creative Director at Studio Pona, I have developed a strong narrative-driven mindset and a clear understanding of what brands require to communicate with clarity and consistency.

When desired, I contribute conceptually—shaping visual language, mood, and narrative structure.
